Meagan grew up in a Montessori school with two Montessori teachers and administrators as parents. She has an M.S. in Environmental Education through Audubon Expedition Institute/Lesley University. Before co-founding MSB, she worked as an Education Coordinator for nonprofits, taught at the elementary level for Pittsfield Public Schools, and provided professional development for teachers. Meagan began her adult Montessori path after the birth of her first daughter. Meagan has Montessori training that spans from birth through adolescence: AMI Assistants to Infancy (0-3), AMI Primary (3-6), Montessori Educators International (MACTE accredited) Early Childhood (3-6), Montessori Educators International Elementary (6-12), AMI Elementary (6-12), and the inaugural AMI Adolescent course (12-18). She has three children: one who has graduated from MSB and is in college, another who graduated from MSB and is away at high school, and the third who is in the midst of the MSB elementary program. Meagan spends her spare time cycling, running, and swimming to prepare for triathlons.
