Building on Montessori methods, our summer camps inspire joyful learning and exploration. The programs are designed to honor each child as an individual and provide a variety on activities to inspire interest in learning and joy in discovery.
This summer we will host eight weeks of camp from June 28 to August 20. Our new 40-acre, LEED registered campus offers a variety of natural habitats ready to be explored!
Regular Hours: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Half Day for Children’s House: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Extended Day Early Drop-off: 8:00 am to 9:00 am Extended Day Late Pick-up: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Each day will include activities that promote education in a relaxed and joyous environment. Morning activities will focus on hands-on projects, artwork, cooking, music, and movement. Outdoor play and explorations are also incorporated into each morning. Morning snack time is available, Montessori-style, and lunchtime is at noon. Afternoons include outdoor and water play, as well as stories, games, and additional projects. A rest time is provided for children under five.
Children's House (ages 3 to 6) enjoys two-week sessions.
CH 1: Hands on Gardening (June 28 – July 9) Join us for two weeks of digging, potting, and crafting. Through indoor and outdoor gardens, explore soil, earthworms and seeds, and then dig a little deeper into garden experiments, seasonal cycles, and garden crafts. Come ready to get dirty! CH 2: Arts & Crafts Around the World (July 12 – July 23) Get ready to journey with us around the world as we explore different cultures and foreign lands through arts and crafts, music and stories. Mask making, toy building, mosaic art and painting are just a few of the art media we'll be using to transport us on our adventure to new places. Head Teacher: Bonny Flower
CH 3: Kitchen Science (July 26 – August 6) Discover how a pinch of curiosity can improve your cooking! Explore recipes and experiments while playing with the science behind food and cooking. Head Teachers: Meagan Ledendecker & Patricia Pent
CH 4: Explore the Woods (August 9 – August 20) Connect with nature as we spend most of our time outdoors, exploring the woods and wetlands of the 40-acre campus. We’ll go in new directions as we find places to play, learn about plants and animals, and collect treasures for nature crafts! Head Teacher: Rose Bohmann
Elementary (ages 6 to 12) enjoys week-long sessions.
EL 1: Name These Woods (June 28 – July 2) Come ready to become a cartographer! With compass in hand, we’ll explore, identify, map, and even name the woods on the 40-acre campus. Learn basic mapmaking and orienteering skills, with an emphasis on the outdoors and imaginative mapping. Head Teacher: Joey Chernila
EL 2: Science Discovery (July 5 – July 9) This camp will be loaded with activities on alternative energy, chemistry, density, forces, and magnetism. Fun research and hands-on experiments each day! Head Teacher: Julie Haagenson
EL 3: Children of the World (July 12 – July 16) Get your suitcase and passport ready! Become a world traveler and visit a different country each day of the week. Learn about food, music, culture, dress and daily life of native peoples. Head Teacher: Julie Haagenson
EL 4: Healthy Living (July 19 – July 23) Put on your tennis shoes and get ready to play! This week is full of active games, exercise, and healthy food. Prepare a menu and grocery list for a balanced meal and participate in all kinds of fun physical sports and activities. Head Teacher: Julie Haagenson
EL 5: Kitchen Science (July 26 – July 30) Discover how a pinch of curiosity can improve your cooking! Explore recipes and experiments to understand the science behind food and cooking. Head Teacher: Meagan Ledendecker
EL 6: Rainforest Safari (August 2 – August 6) Discover the wonder of the planet’s jungles. Explore the globe in search of where rainforests are located and what kind of creatures dwell there. Head Teacher: Julie Haagenson
EL 7: Wilderness Exploration (August 9 – August 13) Explore the great outdoors! Campers will hike and investigate the treasures that the wilderness has to offer. Learn native species and natural creativity in the beautiful Massachusetts forest. Head Teacher: Julie Haagenson
EL 8: Let’s Write! A Novel Idea (August 16 – August 20) Emerging writers will make their mark in ink this week. Daily writers’ workshops, poetry slams, and inspirational activities will help develop the writing process. Create personal books and even explore publishing options. Head Teacher: Meagan Ledendecker
