About Afterschool Programs

  • Children's House (preschool) students on swingsThe purpose of the extended day program at MSB is to meet the different needs of families for after school care. Our goal is to offer a consistent, supervised, enriched environment where children can feel comfortable, safe and nurtured.

In the extended day program, experienced teachers guide children in creative and playful endeavors. Students will enjoy a social and relaxing afternoon with free play as well as songs, stories, outdoor play and special activities. It is open to children in all programs - toddler through adolescent.

The extended day program begins after regular dismissals at 2:45pm. The school provides two extended day options: pick-up by 4:00 pm, and pick-up by 5:30 pm. Students depart when their authorized adult arrives and signs them out.

In addition to our general Extended Day, there are regular and enrichment activities sponsored by the school its parent group several times a year.  Sessions typically meet once a week for six or eight weeks, and are typically open to students in Children's House age and up.
