Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the governing body of The Montessori School of the Berkshires. It is comprised of community members with experience and expertise in areas such as, but not limited to, finances, marketing, administration, alumni relations, and education. Its members are significantly committed to the school’s mission and welfare.
The Board of Trustees works with the Head of School and senior administrators to set strategic goals and policies that support the school's mission and long-term success.
Meagan Ledendecker
Secretary
Meagan is the co-founder of the Montessori School of The Berkshires and its current Director of Education. She grew up in a Montessori school with two Montessori teachers and administrators as parents. She has an M.S. in Environmental Education through Audubon Expedition Institute/Lesley University. Todd Covert
Todd is co-founder of the Montessori School of the Berkshires with his wife, Meagan Ledendecker, and the current Head of School. Before founding MSB, Todd taught 6th grade language arts, social studies, math, and science in the Berkshire Hills Regional School District. Before teaching in public schools, Todd helped start and was the Director of Education and Outreach for the Mississippi State Office of National Audubon Society. Cara Davis
Cara Davis is retired from her position as Executive Director of Construct, Inc., a south county organization that serves persons who are unhoused and unstably housed. She is an ordained minister with the United Church of Christ (Congregational) and currently serves as the moderator of the Berkshire Association, UCC. Zack McCain
Zack McCain is a 1979 graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a BSCE and a Registered Professional Engineer who has spent over 40 years performing structural design for steel buildings throughout the Northeast. He and his wife Wendy Brown joined the MSB family when his son started the third grade at MSB, and the following year his daughter joined MSB in the 6th grade.
