Prior to starting the school 10 years ago with his wife, Meagan Ledendecker, Todd taught 6th grade language arts, social studies, math, and science in the Berkshire Hills Regional School District. Before teaching in public schools, Todd was the co-founder and Director of Education and Outreach for the Mississippi State Office of National Audubon Society. He brings with him a variety of outdoor and experiential leadership experiences ranging from ropes courses to leading wilderness trips. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy, an M.S. in Environmental Education, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership. He has his elementary Montessori teacher training as well as his Massachusetts administrator and elementary teaching license. Todd enjoys hiking, learning guitar, and spending time with Meagan, and their children, Willow, Wren, and Winter.

Meagan grew up in a Montessori school with two Montessori teachers and administrators as parents. She has an M.S. in Environmental Education through the Audubon Expedition Institute/Lesley University. Before co-founding MSB, she worked as an Education Coordinator for nonprofits, taught at the elementary level for Pittsfield Public Schools, and provided professional development for teachers. Meagan began her adult Montessori path after the birth of her first daughter. Meagan is trained in AMI Assistants to Infancy (0-3), Montessori Educators International (MACTE accredited) early childhood (3-6), Montessori Educators International elementary training (6-12), and is nearing completion of her AMI elementary training (6-12). Although usually at the school, Meagan has been known to enjoy gardening, yoga, hiking, running, and reading with a cat curled up on her lap.

Kehr is a native of western Massachusetts. She was raised in Stockbridge and attended the Berkshire Hills Regional School District where she was a distinguished athlete. Kehr went on to study at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, with a focus on fine arts and graphic design. Following her time in Boston, Kehr returned to the Berkshire Hills to raise her two children, both of whom have excelled in the nurturing atmosphere inherent to Montessori education. Kehr has fifteen years experience in small business and restaurant management, and prior to coming to MSB was the director of operations at the former Helsinki Tea Company in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

Mark Losardo

Facilities Manager

Mark is MSB's handyman and behind-the-scenes guru for all things maintenance and upkeep. He's kept our school building and grounds in tip top shape the last three years, and is the father of an MSB graduate. When he's not at school, you're most likely to find Mark in the great outdoors - he is an avid biker and surfer.

Averneile “Avie” moved from Brooklyn to the Berkshires with her family fifteen years ago. She has worked with different non-profits over the years doing administrative work and truly enjoys it. Avie is thrilled to join the Montessori family and holds Associate Degrees in Education (Wesleyan College, Grenada) and Hotel and Hospitality (BCC). Avie is of West Indian decent and enjoys cooking, reading, and you just might see her volunteering in various local groups in the community.

Sarah Ober

Sarah has been part of the Montessori community for two years as a parent, and after being truly impressed by the community during this time, was eager to put her talents to work as a member of the staff last summer. She’s worked in higher education for the past fifteen years, and is excited to transition into working with a younger population. Sarah holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Sculpture and 3D Studies from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, and enjoys finding ways to be creative in her work life and beyond. When she’s not working, you are likely to find Sarah cooking up a storm, playing with her son, or walking her two dogs.
